Hysterics at Dog Who Refuses To Look at His Puppy: ‘He Ain’t Mine’
The moment a dog was presented with his puppy has gained viral attention online as he hilariously refused to even look at his offspring.
In a clip on TikTok posted by @srtslug with more than 23 million views, Maury the dog was presented with his newborn puppy, but had a hilarious reaction—refusing to even look in the direction of the baby.
The on-screen caption joked: “When you give her the money to buy a ‘plan B’ but she buys food… now 9 months later she tries to put a kid on you.”

Are Dogs Good Fathers?
Male dogs aren’t exactly doting fathers. Unlike wolves, where males actively help raise and protect their young, domestic dogs have largely lost that paternal instinct.
According to the American Kennel Club, human intervention in breeding and care has made male dogs less essential to pup survival, and in fact, fathers can sometimes be more of a distraction than a help.
Newborn puppies are fragile, and a male dog’s rough curiosity or jealousy can stress the mother or even endanger the litter.
Still, once puppies are weaned, many fathers will interact and play with them, teaching social cues and reinforcing pack dynamics.
Unlike Maury, some canine fathers are interested in their offspring. Like the Labrador retriever who rushed to say hello to his puppies only for the mom to tell him off, something that also played out with another set of golden retriever parents.
Internet Reacts
Since the video was shared on August 26, pet owners have reacted to Maury and even shared similar stories from their own pets in more than 20,000 comments.
One user wrote: “Why are they like that. Our male dog used to do the same thing… He’ll love it when it becomes a puppy.” Another joked: “He’s waiting on the DNA results!”
“Bro said nah, he ain’t mine,” said one viewer. “He doesn’t want kids,” joked another commenter. While one TikToker said: “He looked at that door handle wanting to get the heck outta there.”
In a later update, the poster even shared a Jerry Springer style skit, pretending to open a DNA test confirming that Maury is the father of the puppy—only for him to hilariously run out of the door at the news.
